Wagin Veterans Secure Federal Wellbeing Grant

MR RICK WILSON MP
FEDERAL MEMBER FOR O’CONNOR

Wagin Veterans Secure Federal Wellbeing Grant
Federal Member for O'Connor Rick Wilson has congratulated the Wagin RSL on its success in securing funding through the Australian Government's Veteran Wellbeing Grants Program.
Mr Wilson said the grant was a welcome investment in the wellbeing of local veterans and their families, helping strengthen the important support networks that exist in regional communities.
"Veteran organisations like the Wagin RSL play a vital role in supporting former servicemen and women, providing opportunities for connection, mateship and community engagement," Mr Wilson said.
"This funding will help ensure local veterans can continue to access the support and activities that contribute to their health and wellbeing.
"I congratulate everyone involved in preparing the successful application and thank the many volunteers who dedicate their time to supporting our veteran community."
Mr Wilson said regional veteran organisations often served as a lifeline for ex-service personnel and their families, particularly in smaller communities.
"Our veterans have given so much in service to our nation. It is important that we continue to support the organisations working on the ground to improve their wellbeing and keep them connected."
Mr Wilson said he looked forward to meeting with members of the Wagin branch and hearing more about the positive impact the funding would have for local veterans.
